WHY A FANSITE?

There are. by now, a million more efficient ways of building a fan community than an old-fashioned fansite, but online spaces such as these are some of the very few ways of having a platform that is completely independent from big corporations and their rules.

In modern social media, there's also very little space for "self-sufficient" fan communities that keep all the information in one place without the fear of it being deleted or rendered inaccessible.

That aside... the MCR community thrived through sites such as these, so I thought it'd be a great way to experience it all over again. :)

Hi, you can call me Ri. I'm not very interesting, but if you would like to talk to me you can shoot me an email or leave a private message on the guestbook with one of your social media handles and I'll get back to you. I own an account on most platforms by now, so it shouldn't be much of a problem.

As a bit of background info, I've been a fan of this band for about 15 years, though I was only ever able to see them live in 2022.

I am always very careful to only use official or free-to-use material in site assets and posts, but in case I decide to use some scans or pictures I'll always ask for permission and credit the original owners if such permission is given. When it comes to older material, however, it's very hard to track down the photographer or the original poster, but I'll do my best to give credit where it's due. If I slip up and repost someone's art by mistake, please contact me and I'll either give credit or take it down according to the original artist's wishes.
